ABOUT THE DECKS
What are these cards exactly?
Each Aonia deck is a set of contemplative cards — artworks paired with questions. They’re designed for periods of personal change: not to predict, heal, or advise, but to offer a place to pause and think. Think of them less as a tool and more as company for uncertain moments.
Are these tarot cards?
No. They share the card format — that’s where the similarity ends. Tarot has a specific symbolic system with prescribed meanings. Aonia decks have no system. Each card stands on its own, with its own image and its own question. There’s no right way to interpret them, and no wrong one.
Do I need to believe in anything to use them?
No. These cards don’t require belief in anything beyond the experience of being human and going through change. They work just as well for the deeply spiritual and the entirely secular.
How do I use the deck?
There’s no sequence. No system. No right way. Just draw, look at the image, read the question on the back, and sit with what appears.
Some people draw one card each morning. Some draw one when something significant shifts. Some draw two at week’s end — one about what they learned, one about what they’re releasing. Some shuffle the entire deck and just sit with whatever comes.
All of these are right. The deck adapts to you, not the other way around.
What language are the cards in?
Each Aonia deck is available in a single language: English or Spanish. When you order, you choose which language version you want.
The images are the same in both editions — language is the only difference. If you’re bilingual and want to experience both, you can order both versions.
Can I buy individual cards?
Not at this time. Each deck is sold as a complete set. Individual card prints may be available in the future.
Are the decks limited editions?
Yes. Each Aonia deck is a limited edition, printed on demand — made at the moment it’s ordered. When an edition closes, it closes. We don’t reprint.
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
How is the artwork made?
Each card starts with a curatorial brief — a detailed document describing a specific human truth and the visual language it requires. The image is then developed through a directed, iterative process until it holds what the brief asks of it. Rigorous and slow. You can read more on the The Method page.
Does Aonia use AI to make the cards?
We work with digital tools and generative processes that we direct, curate, and approve through multiple rounds of human judgment. The curatorial brief comes first. The image serves the brief — not the other way around.
Will there be other decks or collections?
Yes. New decks are in development. You can leave your email on the Shop page to be notified when the next one is available.
ORDERS & SHIPPING
How long does delivery take?
Orders are printed on demand — allow 3–5 business days for production. After shipping: US: 7–14 business days / Canada: 10–18 / UK: 10–18 / Europe: 10–18 / Australia & NZ: 14–21 / Rest of world: 14–21. These are estimates, not guarantees. International customs can occasionally add time.
Do you ship to my country?
We ship worldwide. If you encounter a problem at checkout, write to us at support@aoniaeditions.com.
Will I get a tracking number?
Yes. You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number when your order ships.
Do you ship to Colombia?
Yes. Colombia orders are fulfilled locally and may have different delivery times. Contact us at support@aoniaeditions.com for current estimates.
RETURNS & GIFTS
Can I return the deck?
Yes. We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for items in original, unopened condition. See our Shipping & Returns page for the full process
Can I give a deck as a gift?
Yes. At checkout, you can add a gift message. Gift wrapping isn’t currently offered, but the packaging is minimal and designed to travel well. If you’re shipping directly to someone, enter their address at checkout.
Is there a gift card option?
